American Manual Medicine Association Diplomate Examinations:
National Board Diplomate Certification in Manual Medicine
The American Manual Medicine Association provides the following NCE Diplomate status to qualified members of the AMMA. The AMMA NCE program has the highest application standards and most difficult testing level of any examination offered in the manual medicine field. Applicants must have met the following requirements:
Diplomate in Manual Medicine - DMM
- Has completed an accredited doctoral program of a minimum of 3000 hours in medicine, osteopathy, dentistry, chiropractic, naprapathy, or naturopathy, and;
- Is a licensed physician or health care provider,
- Has completed a 300 hour program in manual medicine approved by the board,
- Has passed the national certification exam.

National Board Certification in Acupuncture
The American Manual Medicine Association provides the following two NCE acupuncture Diplomate certifications to qualified members of the AMMA. The AMMA NCE program has the highest application standards and most difficult testing level of any examination offered in the acupuncture field. Applicants must have met the following requirements:
Diplomate in Acupuncture – Dipl.Ac
- Has completed an accredited doctoral program of a minimum of 3000 hours in medicine, osteopathy, dentistry, chiropractic, naprapathy, or naturopathy, and;
- Is a licensed physician or health care provider,
- Has completed a 300 hour program in acupuncture approved by the board,
- Has passed the national certification exam.
Certification in Acupuncture - P.Ac.
- Has completed a minimum of 1000 hours in allied health care, and
- Is a licensed practitioner or health care provider, and
- Has completed a 120 hour program in acupuncture approved by the board,
- Has passed the two part examination process to include the Proficiency exam and the Clean Needle exam.
