The AMMA has expanded our professional liability insurance coverage and reduced the cost to the membership. In addition, there are two policy levels available for you to choose from - 1 million dollars or 2 million dollars.
The new policy now covers therapeutic modalities such as infra red and ultrasound, and a wider array of manual therapy and therapeutic exercise techniques.
If you would like to acquire this less expensive and expanded coverage policy just fill out and return the enclosed application.
Your AMMA Membership and National Board Certification
In order to maintain your national board certification you must do two things every year:
Renew your annual AMMA membership at $125 per year and an additional $129 for liability insurance
Complete 12 hours of AMMA approved continuing educational units.
You do not have to maintain AMMA professional liability insurance to maintain your national board status and certification, but if you do not annually renew at least your membership you will be dropped from the AMMA membership list and you will lose your national board certification.
Since the AMMA is pushing for state licensure and AMMA inclusion in such licensure, in terms of national board certification, it would be a good idea to maintain this status. In addition, some local ordinances do require proof of national board certification before granting registration or a business license.
You earned your national board status, it is part of your image and professional credentials and you should maintain it.
Keep Your Membership Current!
The AMMA is now in the process of dropping former AMMA members who have not renewed their AMMA membership by submitting an application form and paying the annual membership fee.
Once a member has been dropped they will have to rejoin the association and retake the AMMA national board examination in order to regain their national board certification.
